Putin some effort, leaders
What a pitiful sight seeing PM Turnbull and President Obama sitting together talking about world problems.

From what they are suggesting it is obvious that they both need a blood transfusion from President Putin.
Or maybe heart transplants would be more appropriate?

Can’t prove evil of carbon
Did anyone notice that shortly after Tony Abbott was de-throned by Malcolm Turnbull and Co, PM Stephen Harper of Canada lost the election and his position?
A co-incidence you might say, except that I understand they both had made it clear that they would not sign the coming Climate Change agreement which was to be introduced in the Paris 2015 talks.
Apparently there will be 40,000 participants! All this, because someone in the green movement, some time ago, convinced some scientists that carbon or CO2, (depending on who’s talking) is the world’s worst enemy and will cause, as Al Gore conveniently put it, “A Planetary Emergency!”
Convenient for Al and his partner, David Blood, who had considerable financial interests in Goldman Sachs, who were and are big into carbon trading. Malcolm Turnbull was chairman and managing director of Goldman Sachs Australia in 1997 to 2001.
After Al came to Australia with Jeffrey Skoll’s Inconvenient Truth documentary, designed to convince us all of his Planetary Emergency, and the need to reduce carbon in the atmosphere, Martin Durkin and Channel 4 in the UK produced a documentary called The Great Global Warming Swindle. This particular doco took the Gore/Skoll theories to task and went a long way to disproving them.
Of course, there was an outcry in the UK on several fronts saying that Durkin was no scientist and that the film was based on falsity.
What followed this was most interesting. Australian TV got hold of Durkin’s doco and screened it, due to the attention it was getting.
I watched the TV screening of The Great Global Warming Swindle on Australian TV (the ABC I think) and discovered that it had been edited to remove the most important arguments against global warming (as it was known then) making it a toothless tiger.
I know this was done because I had obtained a DVD copy of the original for my own viewing and I knew what had been cut out.
It is this kind of false proof and vested interests which have made me very wary of any so-called proof the climate scientists have come up with.
Professor Tim Flannery told us the dams would never fill again and later there was flooding!
What I do believe is that should any World Climate Change agreement be signed in Paris 2015, there will be buckets of money to be made by all the financial institutions who have interests in carbon trading, and to what benefit to our world’s people?
The price of commodities will surely go up and this will include food production which could even cause food shortages and loss of life in the third world where they are unable to produce enough.
All this, based on the false premise in my opinion, that carbon is the world’s worst enemy and they still haven’t proved it.

Drunk future for the West
A recent Four Corners program estimated that half a million babies have been brain damaged because their mothers drank alcohol during their pregnancy. This is an horrific number of affected babies.
If this trend continues, what will be the cumulative effect on the intellect of Australians, and indeed, the whole western world?
