Haddrill first won the contest, which always draws a huge crowd to the tiny Riverina wheatbelt village, in 2010.
Going barefoot, the son of former Ariah Park-Mirrool Gammage Medallist Terry Haddrill cleared the 32-metre silos to win the $1500 first prize.
Josh Murphy of Temora was runner-up whilst the big drawcard, local boy Jake Barrett who now plays for Greater Western Sydney, did not figure in the final kick-off.
A number of the area’s leading Australian footballers took part on Saturday with one of the highlights being 15-year-old schoolboy Riley Corbett of Ganmain punting well over the imposing grain storage to win the junior award.
Silo Kick Committee president Jason Bryce, who won the over 40 section, was delighted with the day, saying $13,000 was raised to assist Can Assist as well as Neale Daniher’s national campaign to fight Motor Neurone Disease.
Member for Riverina Michael McCormack was on hand to present prizes to the winning kickers, netball throwers and gumboot tossers.
