The extraordinary meeting has been called for members to consider a special resolution that will replace the constitution in it’s entirety.
The main change is centred around a restructure of the MTC board, to comply with Racing NSW’s governance rules.
It will also open up the opportunity for MTC to use about $650,000 in Racing NSW funding.
MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook encouraged all members to attend.
“It’s an extremely important issue so we want to get as many members as possible to vote,” Sanbrook said.
MTC president Stuart Lamont told The Daily Advertiser last month that he encourages members to vote in favour of the changes.
If the changes are voted in, MTC’s board will be reduced by one to 12.
Eight directors will be elected by members at the annual general meeting, while four will be appointed by a selection panel.
The meeting will be held in the MTC Member’s Lounge at 6.30pm.
