Riverina Rural Fire Service (RFS) fire mitigation officer Steve Quinlan said while Wagga was yet to enforce a total fire ban, locals must be cautious of a very high bushfire danger rating. It comes as NSW RFS brought forward the statutory bushfire danger period a month earlier last week across Carrathool, Griffith, Hay, Leeton, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera.
