The move from the Lake Albert Road premises is more than a year in the making after the iconic building was sold last April.
It’s the third set of studios for 2WG, which has been an institution on Wagga’s media landscape since the 1930s. The original 2WG sign still maintains pride of place on Fitzmaurice Street, where it first commenced broadcast.
Content director Duncan Potts said the new Forsyth Street studios were state-of-the-art, boasting the latest digital desks, comparable to those found in metropolitan stations.
“This is a significant moment in history,” he said. “You can just see the buzz in everyone’s faces.”
