The Rules Club team skippered by David Ferguson and a Narrandera team led by David Ivanoff are the only two undefeated teams heading into the third day.

Both have won all four games with another Rules Club team skippered by David Thornton on three wins.

Ivanoff is no stranger to taking out the prize, having won two years ago, and the competition is set to go down to the wire.

Wagga RSL publicity officer Brian Lawrence has been impressed by the standard of bowls as the temperature soars. 

“It’s been good and hot but there has been some very good bowls and some very close matches,” Lawrence said.

The team with the best record after the last two rounds on Monday will win.
