I support the published quotes in that regard.

Graham then moves on to gay marriage or partnerships; I too prefer the latter term.  The column does not say, but I wonder if the said gentleman has had anything to do with the same-sex propaganda featured in The Daily Advertiser over recent years and the change of politician’s views on the subject?

OF ALL the gormless, stupid things your columnist Keith Wheeler has said, this is right near the top of his list. 

I refer to his assertion that the French surrendered to the Germans in 1940 because “they didn’t care enough”. 

It is incredibly insulting to all the French patriots who died in villages, or were executed in townships, or at the hands of the Gestapo as part of the French Resistance. 

The French fought a relentless underground resistance war at great human cost from 1940 to 1944. 

If Wheeler’s family history included relatives in France who were shot by the Nazis for helping British airmen escape, I doubt he would write such cloddish bilge. 

The French did not just “wait” until 1944 to be rescued by the “Americans”. 

Can you at least rename the column from Wheeler’s Wisdom to Keith’s Krapola, to give the reader fair warning?

THE members of the Cowra Gem and Collectors' Club would like to apologise for the delay in sending you our appreciation at The Daily Advertiser in the way of helping our small club through community service editorials.

Unfortunately as it seems, if anything should go wrong it always happens at multiple times all at once.

If it wasn't for your valuable assistance in donating the space needed, I believe the success of the 47th Cowra Collectors Fair wouldn't have been as beneficial as it was. 

The Lions Club was our selected charitable organisation at the fair this year and they were so pleased with the money that they received. The money will go to help the underprivileged in and around the Central West.

Our thanks once again to all you at The Daily Advertiser for your generosity in helping us bring a little ray of sunshine into the lives of so many in these unfortunate times.

DURING this month’s Dementia Awareness Month, Alzheimer’s Australia NSW is calling for the community to help create a dementia-friendly nation, where people living with dementia are respected, valued and supported to maintain a good quality of life.

It starts with each of us and by making small changes we can make a big difference. In the Wagga and Albury electorates, there are an estimated 5270 people living with dementia. That figure is projected to increase to about 10,480 by 2050.

Too often people with dementia experience social isolation, partly because people are unaware of the symptoms and unsure how to respond to the changes in a person that they have always known.  

The onus is on all of us to become dementia-aware. Find out more about dementia, increase your understanding of the condition and its impacts and help spread the word.
