Former Charles Sturt University student Elias Jamieson Brown plays thespian Theo in the critically acclaimed movie, Ambrosia.
It is his first major role after graduating from CSU last year.
“I was already friends with (Ambrosia director) Rhiannon Bannenberg – we did a 10-minute film project a little while ago and one day she rang me and asked if I’d like to be in a feature film,” Mr Brown said.
The film, which has won an major international film award at the Gulf of Naples Independent Film Festival, will be showing at Forum Six Cinemas on Thursday, September 17, and Mr Brown and cast and crew members from Ambrosia will be hosting a question and answer session at the event.
Although Mr Brown’s passion is in front of the screen, he said his study at CSU taught him all aspects of filmmaking, including screen writing and directing.
Mr Brown is working on his next project – directing and starring in a new feature film, Powder Train.
