Kahlefeldt had more runners than there are races, with an eight-pronged attack for the six-race card.
“I’ve got eight in, they didn’t draw well but hopefully they can overcome that,” Kahlefeldt said.
“Some of them are racing really well now.
“We just need a few breaks and we should be in the finish with a few of them.”
Among those are Refused Service and Lettuceplayginger, who are both coming off wins at Wagga last week.
Despite drawing barrier seven, Kahlefeldt rates Lettuceplayginger as his best chance.
“She worked sensational during the week and is over all the niggling injuries she’s had in the past,” he said.
“She really raced well last week, I think she is a little bit better this week, but the draw is going to even things up a bit.
“I still think she can get there.”
Refused Service returned to the winners list for the first time since November.
“He’s been knocking on the door, he’s had his chances for sure, but I think Matty (Harrington) drove him really well,” Kahlefeldt said.
“The best he’s race ever driven. He wasn’t intimidated by the other drivers taking him on.”
Harrington will again take the reins.
The first race starts at 2.44pm
