The judges will be looking for gardens that may be attractive, sustainable, interesting for families and friends which could include some native plants for attracting birds and bees with five categories being judged: Best two adjoining gardens that complement each other, best garden design to compliment a new home, best street corner nature strip and the neatest street block.
The judges will be viewing gardens on Tuesday, October 13.
Fun-filled bingo afternoon
LOCKHART Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a fundraising bingo afternoon on Wednesday, September 16 at the Lockhart Community Centre starting at 1pm.
Cost is $5 with proceeds going tho a New Digital X-Ray Machine.
There will be prizes galore and a delicious afternoon tea provided.
Skate Funday
LEARN the tricks and trades of the game with TOTEM SKATERS and enjoy the skateboarding workshops, demos and mini comps.
Nigel from Totem Skateboarding and two trained instructors will be at the Lockhart Skate Park on Friday, September 25 from 10am to 2pm.
Come along and enjoy lessons on skateboarding for beginners to the more advance.
Learn how to skate Lockhart’s Heather Harradine Memorial Skate Park in new and exciting ways.
Helmets and skateboards will be available for use plus stickers and giveaways will be given out on the day.
