The winning team used no less than 11 of their squad in the game, with only Meg Reinhold and Grace Cornell playing all four quarters.
By contrast six of the Panthers played the four quarters with coach Kate Garrett and defender, Sandra Skaf, playing a half each.
The Panthers, with their usual good performers, Kirsty Lowe, Garrett and Bonnie Higgins, playing well, were well in the game in the first quarter, with just four goals separating the two teams at the first break.
However, the second term saw the young Uranquinty side run hot and shooters, Lana Duffy and Stacey Curran piled on 18 second term goals, while the Panthers found the net only seven times. With strong play from defenders, Georgina Grant and Brooke Tilyard and centre, Olivia Tilyard, the Greens went to half-time with a 14-goal lead.
The third term was most competitive, with the Panthers producing their best scoring effort, as Danielle Lane and Viv Murnane added another 16 goals to their tally, but Uranquinty still managed to outscore them as Duffy and new scoring partner, Jess Allen increased their half-time score by 19.
The plucky Panthers gave their best right to the end, and actually outscored their victorious opponent by two goals in the final period.
