Griffith-based education minister Adrian Piccoli has been criticised for an overseas jaunt during Education Week and the first sitting day of parliament.
MURRAY MP and education minister Adrian Piccoli has come under fire for taking a holiday in Italy, which saw him miss Education Week and the first day of parliament. Mr Piccoli flew back to Australia amid a storm of controversy this week, with his holiday faux pas plastered on the front page of Sydney’s The Daily Telegraph under the headline “Piccoli’s Italian job”. A contrite Mr Piccoli defended the timing of his holiday, saying “I try not to miss parliament ... it happened once and it won’t happen again”.
