MURRAY MP and education minister Adrian Piccoli has come under fire for taking a holiday in Italy, which saw him miss Education Week and the first day of parliament. Mr Piccoli flew back to Australia amid a storm of controversy this week, with his holiday faux pas plastered on the front page of Sydney’s The Daily Telegraph under the headline “Piccoli’s Italian job”. A contrite Mr Piccoli defended the timing of his holiday, saying “I try not to miss parliament ... it happened once and it won’t happen again”.
