The $20,000 target was hit in the past 24 hours and Mr Pollard’s brother-in-law is forever grateful.
“It’s humbling to know that many people have got behind us,” he said.
Mr Wooden is running in the Bridge to Brisbane covered in bandages to raise money and awareness for all burn victims.
Family friend Peter Clucas is hosting a fundraising event on August 28 at the Wagga Boat Club from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Tickets are $100 each and are available from Riverina Ski Sports, Wagga Boat Club, Wagga City Auto Centre, Twomeys Accountants and Karen Cronk Hairdressing.
