Taylor and Weir combined to take out the $25,000 Forbes Cup (1600m) on Tea Clipper.
Tea Clipper ($11.00) came with a barnstorming run from back in the field to edge out $4.00 favourite Sooner Or Later by a half head.
It was Taylor’s first win for Weir since joining his stable in June.
