Around 230 horses and 150 riders took to the CSU Equine Centre in what event secretary Belinda Lloyd-McMahon labelled the Riverina Equestrian Association-Showjumping’s biggest event at the venue.
In a weekend spectacular of showjumping, Wagga’s Kirra Hubbard took out honours in the junior division while Canberra visitor Stephen Dingwall took out the largest class.
Dingwall was aboard Dusky Farm Cavalier to take out the grand prix on Sunday.
Tumut’s Georgie Lucas finished third with Dusky Farm Conqueror with Clint Beresford second with SL Donato.
Despite the wet conditions Lloud-McMahon said everyone was impressed with the quality of the facilities and how they stood up in the trying conditions.
“We had a fantastic show,” she said.
“The surface held up beautifully and the horses jumped marvelously well on Sunday for our main class – the grand prix.
“All the riders were happy and commented on the first class facilities and loved jumping there horses on it.”
