Because of Wagga’s position on the dateline, the city garnered the title of the first show for the day of international celebration and appreciation of blues music.
Bidgee Blues Club vice president and events co-ordinator Mike McCall said numbers were down from last year but the two headlining acts still drew an impressive crowd.
“The quality of music was excellent and the whole day ran exceptionally smoothly,” he said.
“It was a successful day.”
Headliners Frank Macias and Los Amigos attended the club’s open mic afternoon on Sunday to the delight of patrons.
