The Court of Criminal Appeal rejected the appeal of Giusepe Dicianni in a judgment handed down on Friday.
But the woman who was jailed for being an accessory after the fact of the murders – Josephine Pintabona – was released after successfully appealing to have her prison sentence reduced.
Jailed in March, 2013, her reduced non-parole period was reduced so it expired on June 12 this year.
The court ordered she be released to parole immediately.
Dicianni was found guilty by a jury of stabbing the Frisoli brothers to death in their Rozelle home.
He must serve a minimum 30 years in prison.
