The club’s juniors and seniors came together for the official opening of the grounds, as well as the turning on of the lights.
It follows the Demons’ name change from Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka to Collingullie-Glenfield Park at the end of last season.
Glenfield Park Oval is now home to the Demons’ juniors where they hold home games and training sessions.
CGP co-coach Brett Lenon said the senior team will also use the new and improved facility at Glenfield Park.
“The junior club will train and play there,” Lenon said.
“We’ll also have more training sessions there, especially through pre-season and some Tuesday nights during the year.”
More than 100 Collingullie-Glenfield Park footballers and netballers turned out for the historic occasion on Wednesday night.
