350 primary aged girls who have registered for the inaugural carnival can draw on insight from the Matildas veteran at the Duke of Kent Oval.
She will be roving, available for a chat, and keeping a keen eye on the local talent.
Khamis will join the contingent of local female soccer players as a cameo referee. Wagga sporting star Sarah Bradley will also take part.
Football Wagga has invited Khamis to present a talk at the presentation ceremony, referencing 10 years of international soccer experience.
Khamis, part of the Australian women’s 2015 FIFA world cup squad, has made it a priority to inspire youngsters at grassroots community events following her pilgrimage to Canada and will travel from Sydney to take part in the gala day.
