After the first night they had to move to a bigger venue to accommodate the numbers with around 80 people attending each of the nights since moving to Romano’s Chandelier room.
“We have a core group turning up each month and new people,” Ms Beaumount said.
“I thought people would turn up once or twice, I didn’t expect them to schedule it in.”
The age range in the audience is also varied with people in their 50s down to 16 and 17 year-olds.

The fourth poetry slam will be held tonight from 6pm at Romano’s Hotel Chandelier room.
