Justin Kahlefeldt and Brad Langtry have launched racingsales.com.au, the first website of its kind in Australia.
Frustrated with the difficulty of buying and selling horses, the pair came up with the idea of a website that will host buying and selling across the three racing codes.
Kahlefeldt said the website is created by racing owners, for owners.
“The idea originated from our frustration at the process and cost of trying to buy and sell through various avenues,” Kahlefeldt said.
“Our website is designed to improve the process and cater for all likeminded racing owners.
“It is bringing this process up to speed with 2015.”
The website was launched less than two weeks ago and has already attracted a lot of interest.
“Key participants within all three racing codes are eager to sell on there, which has attracted the buyers,” Langtry said.
“Within the first week we had 20,000 page views and over 100 listings.”
The website caters for all types of sales, from those yet to start their racing career, through to free listings for those that are no longer suitable for racing.
A number of big players in harness and thoroughbred have already come on board, with multiple sales already.
