Absolum polled the maximum six votes last weekend to move to equal second position alongside team mate Marc Geppert.
The Rock-Yerong Creek forward Mitch Ward continues to lead on 18 votes, one ahead of Absolum and Geppert.
North Wagga’s Corey Watt and Temora forward Matt Wallis are next on 17 and 16 votes respectively, while Bryce Graetz’s (14 votes) chances are gone after he sustained a season-ending injury last Saturday.
Meantime, Griffith midfielder Ben King stretched his lead in the Riverina League Player of the Year award after polling in the Swans’ win over Narrandera.
King was awarded minor votes by both coaches to move to 28, five clear of Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes’ midfielder Harry Collins.
