Frith has been in the paddock since the worse performance of her career, when she finished ninth in the group one Queen Of The Pacific at Melton in May.

The five-year-old was originally going to New Zealand trainer Mark Purdon but after her disappointing performance returned to the Riverina for a spell.

Owner Bernie Kelly will bring her out of the paddock this weekend and start working her up but he hasn’t decided what’s in store for her next season.

“I’m not 100 per cent yet,” Kelly said. 

“She’s still out in the paddock and I’ll start jogging her up then decide.”

“I’ll talk to Mark Purdon and whether he still wants me to send her over to there or not.”

With seven group ones already in the bag, her five-year-old season is the only one where she hasn’t added to her impressive tally.

Unplaced in both her group one races this season, Kelly said he just wants to do the right thing by her.

Kelly doesn’t want to retire the daughter of Four Starzzz Shark yet, preferring to see if she can earn enough money to retire as a millionaire before heading to the breeding barn and becoming a mum.

“I think I would like to give her one more go and would like to see her win the million dollars,” Kelly said.

“She’s got the chance to do it, there’s nothing wrong with her at all so I thought I’d give her one more year and I’d say that would be it.”

Frith has currently earned $884,245 and has won 33 of her 46 races with a further six seconds and two thirds.

Four of of her five unplaced finishes came last season and Junee horseman Bruce Harpley elected to give his start to another trainer following one final win at Menangle in April.

Kelly has already discussed his options with Harpley.
