“If a kid’s smart enough to play the game decisively, you play them,” Macri said.
Temora winger Zac Wiencke, 17, was named the best player on Saturday.
He played confidently in the centre; a crucial link for the team that opened the game up from the second quarter and didn’t look back.
“He’s good at ground level, clean with the ball, he’s playing some good footy for a young fella,” Macri said.
Macri conceded that some of the Farrer League’s most dominant first grade players are young, like Charles White from The Rock-Yerong Creek, the best player on ground at Victoria Park on Saturday.
