Snudden claimed four of the seven races on the card to most closer to his first century and set a new best after winning 97 races for the last two seasons.
Snudden should go through the mark next week, with the region’s leading trainer only needing two more wins to reach the milestone.
Stable reinsman Corey Bell finished one short of his career best with three wins, with Thomas Gilligan steering Buster Henry to victory for the stable.
On a good night out, Snudden thought Modern Era was the most impressive.
“He did plenty of work, drew inside of the back and had to sprint twice in the race and still had the plugs in and the whip not turned round,” Snudden said.
“He was the most impressive but he is a nice horse too.”
Snudden contemplated a trip to Menangle with the four-year-old but elected to have one more run in the Riverina before making the trip up the highway.
It was a move that paid dividends.
East Emperor made it four wins on the trot while Jack Kelly scored his first win since April after finally coming up with a barrier he could lead from.
With three wins in June East Emperor (1.30 fav) extending his winning run with a tough effort sitting without cover before Jack Kelly made it an early race to race double as lead all the way for his fifth win.
Snudden looked like he would make it five with Monivae sent out a $1.50 favourite in the last race but he pulled too hard in the running and was run down late by Bell Ringer and Ray Walker.
