Northcott Disability Services was presented with a modified van that will allow wheelchair access at Thomas Bros on Friday.
The $50,000 needed for the van and fitout was raised by the Wagga Fundraising Committee, and the van was modified by engineers at Nixons Wagga.
“This will make such a difference for our clients”, Northcott Murumbidgee regional manager Michael Merrylees said. “We can now take them bowling, to the movies, shopping and to the park to get out of the house more regularly.”
Wagga Fundraising Committee acting president Anne Larcombe said the group was thrilled its literary lunches were so well supported by the community.
