Wagga man John Clout wants to spark a friendly rivalry with our Victorian counterparts in this year’s Kidney Kar Rally.
Ouyen, a town of 1200 people near Mildura, has raised nearly $35,000 for their driver. Mr Clout has so far raised $3000 and is issuing a call to arms to Wagga.
Mr Clout had a kidney transplant in 2009 and has been raising money for the cause ever since.
“If we can get some donations from people and businesses, it adds up very quickly,” Mr Clout said.
It is Mr Clout’s sixth year participating in the event, but it’s the first rally for his navigator, Brian Roy.
“It’s a fantastic cause,” Mr Roy said. To help them get across the line, you can donate at kkr2015.everydayhero.com/au/xplant.
