Nothing went right for Demmery from the outset in the third round of the Australian Superbike Championship in Sydney.
A blown gearbox in the last session on Friday caused havoc before a crash on Saturday continued a bad run.
Demmery is now seeing the sights in Japan ahead of round three of the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at Suzuka.
“It’s my first time in Japan and will admit, it’s a long way to travel,” Demmery said.
“I have a few days to relax before heading to the track Thursday to get set up.
“I am hoping myself and the team can improve on previous results and show what we are truly made of.”
