A high standard of submissions were received this year so it is very exciting that Greens Gunyah Museum, and the Lockhart Sculpture and Heritage Trail, have both been successful with their submissions and are a finalist in the awards in the Cultural Tourism and Tourist Attractions categories.
This is fantastic for Lockhart Shire, and the many volunteers in the community who have worked hard to create interesting and inspiring attractions for visitors and locals alike.
Social boom
RESIDENTS are encouraged to support and post to the growing number of social media sites promoting local events and information on Lockhart Shire.
The hashtag #lovelockhartshire features on the Lockhart Shire’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts, and will also be used as a tagline on the My AppVenture Instagram account.
To find the sites, just enter #lovelockhartshire as a web search.
A new Facebook page, Lockhart Shire Shopping, has been created for use by all Lockhart Shire based businesses, with the aim of creating an easily accessible Facebook directory of local businesses.
The page will allow businesses to reach large groups of people frequently, with direct connection to customers, whilst promoting their business, website and company Facebook pages.
