Plush Hairdressing joined an elite group of salons from across the nation at last month’s Hair Expo in Sydney.
The Plush artistic team took to the Hair Expo Launch Pad stage to present their Midnight Lights collection, a spectacular combination of colour, signature cuts and sculptured organic shapes in hair.
In the 20-minute presentation, the team, led by creative director and owner Kathleen Lindsay, showcased colour work designed with temporary colour, taking influence from the bright-yet-muted colour tones reflected in the artworks of Norwegian artist, Eva Frengstad.
“It’s all about customising these days,” Ms Lindsay said.
“Our clients are after something fresh, something designed especially for them - that suits and reflects them.
“Gone are the days we all just follow commercially on-trend styling and colouring.
“Gone also are the days where you can only expect the beautiful work to come from the city - regional salons hold some of the most well respected and talented professionals in the country now and in so many cases they themselves create the trends.”
The show included colour work that highlighted and encompassed their signature work in styling up, millinery inspired avant-garde work and a touch of the unexpected.
