Police allege Gregory Raymond Anderson, 38, and Amy Cheree Downey, 30, supplied the ice at Yass between 11am on April 29 and 11pm on April 30.
Both appeared in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday by video link after being refused bail by a registrar in Young Local Court hours after their arrest last Friday.
According to police facts tendered to the court, officers investigating a complaint Downey made about another person earlier this month found evidence during their probe she and Anderson had travelled to Yass to supply ice a couple of days earlier.
Anderson and Downey have also been charged with making a false accusation.
Anderson did not apply for bail in Wagga Local Court, but Downey made a release application through solicitor Rohan Harrison.
In his submission, Mr Harrison said Downey had told police she believed the substance in question was salt.
Mr Harrison said Downey did not have a drugs offence on her criminal record.
He said allegations against his client involved an interpretation by police of mobile telephone text messages.
Mr Harrison conceded Downey’s phone was involved in the messaging, but said other people could have used the phone.
He said it would be difficult for Downey to instruct defence solicitors about text evidence if she was in custody because those instructions could take many hours.
Mr Harrison said it could take up to a year for Downey to face trial, and that was a very long time for a person with three children aged seven and younger to be in custody.
Downey’s father and sister were each prepared to forfeit $5000 if she breached bail, Mr Harrison said.
Other reasons for Downey needing bail were her depression and pain from car crash injuries.
Magistrate Erin Kennedy refused Downey bail, saying she had not shown reasons why bail should be granted.
Andersons’s and Downey’s cases were adjourned to the July 21 sittings of Young Local Court.
