Councillors voted earlier this week to receive a report on the investigations and viability of using groundwater to fill the lake.
Wagga Boat Club was advised a water source in this area would likely form part of the Lachlan Fold Belt and that it would be possible to get a zero allocation licence for water to be purchased on the open market.
