Kostenbauer’s ankle isn’t broken and he will undergo further medical assessment to determine the extent of the injury.
Henwood Park player Matt Takats will also be sitting out for the next few weeks, after rolling his ankle and tearing ligaments in a non-soccer related incident.
Kostenbauer’s injury was the low point of Henwood Park’s clean sweep in Round 7 where the club won all four games against Cootamundra.
Henwood Park coach Kyle Doswell has noticed an improvement over recent weeks.
“It was the best we played all year; our passes and our first touch is a lot better,” Doswell said.
