The Gundagai Red Cross Ball was held on Friday night and raised more than $12,000.
Vice president, Deb Blackwell, was presented with her 20-year service bar and said the event was a huge success.
“It was a gorgeous night,” she said.
“People realise how important the Red Cross is both internationally and on a local level.”
Visitors came from as far as Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane to show their support for the Gundagai branch of the organisation, which has 30 dedicated members.
Mrs Blackwell said the group has raised more than $500,000 in 100 years, which she said is an achievement considering the club’s size.
