In a dramatic mid-season switch, Bryant cut ties with Group 20 club Yenda to sign with Temora last week.
Thrown into the team for the clash with Kangaroos, Bryant made a great impression with his speed and strength, capping his day with a super try in the 20th minute.
Henderson later praised Bryant’s contribution as the Dragons went down 17-16.
“He’s done really well for his first game (with Temora),” Henderson said. “He’s a good player.”
As Temora celebrated a key recruit, the Blueheelers are believed to be less impressed by the defection of the Riverina representative back.
Bryant is set to be a wonderful foil for the creativity of Temora playmaker Daniel Fitzhenry and the ball skills of Henderson.
Ironically, Bryant’s first game for the Dragons fell as two Roos players ended their time with the Wagga club.
Prop John Arentz and powerful utility Will Homer are heading overseas and will be lost for the remainder of the Group Nine season.
Homer turned in a blinder on Saturday to go out on a high note.
