University Theatre Ensemble students perform popular carabet tunes of the 1930s and beyond in Kabarett Youkali.
It’s the first play at the Riverina Playhouse since it re-opened last month after being closed for two years.
“The play has the pleasure of cabaret inside and the threat of Nazi Germany outside,” lecturer in acting at Charles Sturt University, John Saunders, said.
“It talks of place, of pleasure and desire.”
Kabarett Youkali will be staged at the Riverina Playhouse today at 2pm and 8pm and tickets are still available from the Civic Theatre or at the door.
