Williams believes the junior welterweight showdown with the Sydneysider, who has a 10-2 record, will the biggest challenge he’s faced in the ring so far.
“I’ve a very even match up and by far my toughest fight to date,” Williams said.
“I had a couple of months off and am really looking to get back.
“I’m really starting to challenge myself this year and this one is going to be a huge test and I’m definitely going to be on the night to make sure we get the win.”
It will be Williams’ first fight since retaining his WBF belt and claiming the WBC Asia Continental belt against Indonesian Rusmin Kie Raha in October.
He is hoping the bout will become a title bout, but for financial reasons that won’t be finalised until closer the fight.
Tickets for the May 30 fight will be released this week.
