The Swans took out a fiery Anzac Day fixture by 18 points, winning 9.13 (67) to 8.1 (49) at Exies Oval.
Josh Hamilton was given his second yellow card before half-time but the Swans rallied in the second half to record a come-from-behind victory.
Griffith hit the front in the third term, kicking three goals to Narrandera’s one.
Will Griggs led the charge from the midfield and was well supported by Chris Cerato, also playing an on-ball role.
The only disappointing aspect for the Swans, other than the cards to Hamilton, was an ankle injury to Canberra recruit Sam Daniel.
Griffith coach Brandon Mathews praised the Swans.
“To be able to win one the way we did was fantastic,” he said.
“It was certainly character building.”
Narrandera coach Tim Sullivan was disappointed with the Eagles’ effort.
