STILL in the firing line. The Turks repeatedly charged us but were driven off every time. At night time I was sent out sniping with a (unreadable) coming in early in the morning. No sleep since we left the boat. Have lost my pack with overcoat and water proof and it is bitterly cold. Water is very scarce and have no time to get more. Struck some of our Bn. today, but have no idea of the whereabouts of the main body.
