Law got the better of a thrilling finish to claim Saturday’s 95-kilometre main event, while Parramatta cyclist Rylee Field took out Sunday’s 75km race.
Law started from the scratch group on Saturday, that only reeled in the leaders with just 20 metres to go.
Tolland Cycling Club’s Daniel Addison looked set for a hometown victory but was run down just metres from the finishing line.
“Dan had a big smile on his face, he thought he was home,” Wagga cycling legend Barry O’Hagan said.
“It was an unbelievable finish.
“Jackson’s a good rider, he won at the Australian national championships on the track earlier in the year.”
Some 109 cyclists braved the wet weather for Saturday’s race, before another 107 backed up on Sunday.
Addison held on for fifth position on Saturday, while fellow Tolland Cycling Club member Peter Treloar (pictured) managed a third placing on Sunday.
O’Hagan said the return of the Tolland Open proved a success.
“We had a good crowd and it looked great with all the flags up,” O’Hagan said.
“Everyone enjoyed the racing and the courses went off pretty good.
“I reckon they’ll all be back next year now it’s back up and running.”
