On Tuesday councillors will decide if there will be signs placed at the shire’s six entrances.
Councillors will also determine if an official ‘welcome to country’ address will be delivered at official events.
Mayor Neil Smith said he didn’t expect any opposition to the proposal he described as “worthwhile”.
“Personally I think it’s a nice to acknowledge Aboriginal heritage,” Councillor Smith said.
