The Two Blues went goalless in their second game back in the Farrer League as the Hawks enjoyed a big 127-point win.
McMahon said Barellan were better than the scoreboard indicated.
“To their credit, they kept coming and certainly didn’t give up as far as contested footy is concerned,” McMahon said.
Barellan is the only AFL Riverina club that can boast a first grade team full of club juniors, with no outside recruits.
Things should get a little easier for Barellan with a game against CSU in round three.
