I had to go on duty again at 6a.m. until 10a.m. We had an easy time only one message to send. We have been ordered to conserve ammunition as much as possible as 200 rounds have to last us. We were shifted from off the top deck yesterday to make room for 250 reinforcements. We are now on the second deck. After dinner I had to take four men down in the hold to bring up a lot of instruments and lamps. I got two letters today, one from Ess and one from Elsie. Some of the boys got a lot of home papers so we had something to read for a change. The Lieut. told us that the Coy. Signallers had nothing whatever to do with us. I can't see myself how the few men who will be on H.D. care to carry on.
