THE same thing today as yesterday. Jack McClelland had a talk with the Lieut of the 3rd Batt. R.F.A. and he is agreeable to exchange men for signallers. I don’t think that the Colonel will exchange but we are going to try. We came back to camp about 12.30p.m. After dinner we heard that as all the officers from Coy. were away on leave that we would not be paid. But Capt. (unreadable) signed the books and we were paid. I received 68.2 peastres and Leeson paid me the two he owed me so that made it 70. I was writing a letter to Mim when Jim Sam came down but we had a good talk about home before tea. After tea I wend down to the (unreadable) to get away from the others. They were on the drink.
