NSW Police Association members yesterday entered into tier two industrial action after calls dating back to 2008 for 32 additional officers have not been answered.
Wagga police will continue not issuing infringements for minor offences and cease updating the internal system as part of their industrial action.
It follows Wagga being described as the most understaffed and overworked command in the state.
Police minister Stuart Ayres said five probationary constables would be allocated to Wagga in May.
The minister has also agreed to meet with the Wagga Branch of the NSW Police Association to discuss Local Area Command resourcing on April 20.
