The winners on the day were the RSL team of T Urquhart, R Meyers, N Williams and R Parahi. Runners up were another RSL Club team of J Lane, I Lewis, A Smith and R Hazell. The president of the RNSWBA was in attendance and played in the official team, later on he outlined the current developments happening within the Royal.
Coolamon
IN THE business house competition at Coolamon there are three teams that have had five wins over the course of the competition. Red Backs are on +45 points. Coolamon Laundramat with +32 and South Side of the Tracks on -1. Vintage Veterans are happily bringing up the rear. Being the last round, there may still be an upset. There will be a free sausage sizzle during the evening. Best joke on the evening was told by Karen Pollard, although Grant Stead also obtained many laughs with his yarn.
With Easter just a couple of weeks away, on the Saturday there will be no pennant bowls played, however there will be a Colamon Triples Tournament at 9.30am. Three games of 12 ends with lunch provided. Very attractive prize money and spot prizes. Nominations should be made now as there will be only 20 teams accepted.

Mathew fought back but the lead was too great with Salter recording a 31-19 victory.
In bare foot bowls last Thursday Steph Houting and Nell McIntyre put on a masterclass defeating Gary McClelland and Stephen Houting 24-3, in the triples game Daniel, Rae Davey and Rhonda Erskine also recorded a big 16-6 win over Tye Hussell, Jake Burgun and Brock Shore.

Gundagai
IN THE championship triples at Gundagai Joe Bond, Graeme Snape amd Richard Erkelens had a very convincing 23-11 victory over a very disappointing Eric Weston, Bob Smart and Rod Brooke last Saturday afternoon. Bond, Snape and Erkelens led from start to finish and played magnificent bowls, and the Weston led trio being completely overshadowedand they had no answer to the onslaught which took place right throughout the match. In the championship singles Joe Bond had to much class for Alan Crawford last Thursday morning running out an easy winner by the tune of 31 shots to 19. The match was pretty tight early with the score locked up at 6 all after eight, nine all after eleven and 11 all after 14. Bond then started to find his range taking six of the next eight ends to explode to a 22-14 lead before taking five of the final six ends to be victorious in the end.

The night costs only $5, which includes bowls and a free sausage sizzle, so we'll see you there.
