But some issues, such as Wagga's push for a drug squad, are abundantly simple.
That we have an issue with drugs, particularly ice, in the region is a given.
The pages of this newspaper bear testament to that on a daily basis.
That the drug scourge has a profound affect on families, individuals and the community is equally as clear.
Privately, senior police say a drug squad would put a huge dent in crime and dramatically reduce the amount of innocent victims impacted by it.
And the community would gladly see tax dollars redirected to more drug resources.
When the government is re-elected in a tick over two weeks, $6 billion will be unlocked for regional areas from the poles and wires lease.
We must demand some of that flows our way. The community will is there; the political will must follow.
