Under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reporting system, fines for littering from vehicles can be issued based on reports from the public.
Fines came into effect on Sunday’s Clean Up Australia Day in Wagga.
Reports must be made by people over 18, supplying the date and car’s registration within 14 days of the incident via the EPA website.
