Went out with the Batt. on another skirmishing scheme. Marched out towards Piccadilly Circus but turned to the N.W. when we got to the end of the Second Bde lines. From there it was about two miles out in the desert to the rendezvous. It was a two thousand yard attack and I was sent with McCann and Robins and Kerwan to keep up communication with A and B Coys. The attack finished about two o'clock and we marched back independently, arriving in camp about 3pm. Afterwards we were paid. I drew 68.2 peastres and got 10 more off Kirton. I very nearly smoked myself to death. I also paid the snob the 5 I owed him.
