Eight Group 20 clubs have nominated to contest the inaugural competition, just days after only three teams played the hallowed West Wyalong Knockout.
"It really is quite bizarre," Bulldogs president Wayne Berkrey said.
"The reaction from the Group 20 clubs was great. We were really surprised to get that many."
Group Nine clubs, Junee, Cootamundra and Tumbarumba will stake a claim for the prizemoney.
"We also have Tuggeranong Bushrangers and an Orange club," he said. "It's the first one so we are pretty happy with the 12 sides."
